Bellows Beach Park, HI, ca. 1974. In no particular order: I grew up in Hawaii. Yes, I am Native Hawaiian [amongst other ancestries]. No, I cannot do the hula for you. Yes, I wish I could. I did take lessons in 5th grade. I also took piano lessons for 9 years. No, I don't play any more. I even learned the clarinet. I live in the metro DC area now. I work in a museum. With computers. This picture is from my 7th birthday party. I can't believe I was once so young. I graduated from Mount Holyoke College in 1989. I graduated from Maryknoll High School before that. I have known many cats. I used to have these tags. I don't anymore. Then I had these. I don't anymore. Now I have these. My favorite colors are chartreuse, violet and blue-purple. I do not like puce. I am still searching for the perfect hair color, a nice, deep midnight blue. I love food: Mediterranean/Middle Eastern, Indian, Hawaiian/local kine, Mexican/Tex Mex/El Salvadoran, ice cream & sweets, peanut butter & guava jam, plus I can't resist food that has been artificially colored blue. These actors and actresses are some of my favorites. What I'm listening to. What I want. I'm a recovering Goth. I love lounge kitsch. I can be an eBay junkie. Over the years, I have met a lot of online folks IRL. I even met my husband online but no, it wasn't like that. I have frequented the Horror Discussion List since 1993. I used to try to keep a list of favorite things and comics. That was a long time ago. My paternal grandmother was an artist. Some say I look like her. I have been called a High Priestess of Hooha. This elephant story makes me sad. I've been to Iceland. I want to visit Greenland, Faroe Islands, Orkney, Finland, Sweden Denmark, and Norway, Scotland and Wales, Baffin Island, Tuktoyuktuk, New Zealand, Australia, and Antarctica. I want to revisit Newfoundland, Alaska and the Yukon. [updated: 06.01.2004]
